Intro note from Mike

You probably recall that last year Tom St. Amand and I cycled from Sarnia to Ottawa to raise money for Big Brothers of Sarnia-Lambton. When we mentioned this to a mutual friend we told him that we were biking across Ontario. His response was "your not biking across Ontario, what about the other 2/3 of the province." He was right, the distance from the Manitoba border to Sarnia is greater that twice the distance from here to Ottawa. So this year the Board of Directors asked whether we would consider doing another ride and if so where we would ride. We agreed to the ride and our first thought was I guess we better ride the other 2/3 of the province. Since time is a factor we have shortened the ride slightly and will start from International Falls, which lies on the Ontario Minnesota border. In a two week period starting in mid August we plan to ride from International Falls to Sarnia. I am pleased to announce that not only will Tom St. Amand be joining me again but another good friend Marc Desjarlais will also be riding with us. The other major change this year is that we will be accompanied by a support vehicle. John Healy, whom I have joined on a recent trip to the Arctic and who will be joining our team as we climb Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009 has agreed to transport us out to International Falls and follow us home.

Thank you once again to all who have once again considered making a donation to Big Brothers and support our efforts.

How is our team doing with their fundraising?
